Suzuki products were traditionally sold in Japan and some Asian countries as M. Suzuki but since none of the original Suzuki companies were exporting in any quantity under their own names the company could get away with using the Suzuki name in the west.

In addition to Suzuki Musical Instrument manufacturing, the company is also active in the plastic moulding business both as a service company and as a manufacturer of machinery and mold
